Top 3 Reasons to Jailbreak Besides Pirating

Posted on May 25, 2012 by Louie Tran Posted in Apps, How To, Reviews 2 Comments

Now that the untethered jailbreak for iOs 5.1.1 is available for your iPhone 4S and iPad 2012, you are now able to add limitless new features and apps on your device which Apple hasn’t approved to make it to the AppStore. For those of you who don’t know what jailbreaking your iPhone means, it’s basically a hack that allows you to install apps that aren’t authorized by Apple and Cydia is sort of like the AppStore for those apps. Cydia is not a place to download pirated apps as the ignorant may think. In fact, there are some apps on Cydia that aren’t free! You can Google how to pirate apps elsewhere. Today, I’m going to show you the best 3 Jailbreak apps that give you a reason to jailbreak!

1. Winterboard

Getting bored on how your iPhone looks? Well make it your own now! Winterboard allows you to install themes and customize your icons, fonts, background, etc changing the look of the interface!

2. SBS Settings

This is my personal favorite. SBS Settings  is a popular jailbreak app that lets you swipe across the status bar to access preference settings and toggles such as Wi-Fi, 3G, and screen brightness. You can customize SBSettings via themes to match your iPhone’s look, and it works with iOS 5’s notification center. So now, you can easily turn on and turn off your Bluetooth anywhere on your phone!

3. My3G

Another longtime favorite. Let’s you Facetime over 3G! My3G makes Apps believe that they are on WiFi instead of 3G. With My3G, you can now watch HiDef YouTube videos, use Skype/Fring/Other VOIP apps over the 3G network!
