The best smartphone in the market is often debated and Apple is often criticized for not really innovating. I myself get bored of the iPhone regardless of its simple yet elegant design, and having the largest app library of any mobile device so I often switch back and forth between the latest iOS device and an Android phone. The iPad however is a different story. Apple has nailed it time and time again with every iteration of it’s full-sized tablet and the competition doesn’t even come close to the 9.7-inch iPad. So is it worth it to ditch your current 4th-Gen iPad for the new iPad Air? Let’s take a quick look… Continue reading
When the first 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina was released in Q4 of 2012, it received a mix response. It was praised for being one of the most beautiful 13-inch notebooks to date with an amazing retina display, however it was highly criticized for being way overpriced starting at $1,699 with only 128GB of storage with no dedicated graphics card. Just recently, Apple did a refresh of their notebooks and the 13-inch MacBook Pro received a slight upgrade in hardware and most surprisingly a $200 reduction in price. Is the 2013 13-inch MacBook Pro now worth it? Let’s find out!
When the fourth-generation iPad was announced during Apple’s press conference in October, it caught a lot of people by surprise. We all expected the iPad Mini and a refresh on the Apple desktops, but to release another iPad in a matter of months of the third generation? It was very unexpected. Apple’s latest iPad raises the question, is the upgraded processor and Lightning connector worth it enough to ditch your “new iPad” for this one?
Chrono Trigger is out for iOS! Just loaded it and played for about 15 minutes and so far it feels really nostalgic. Supposedly this has the add-ons from the DS but unfortunately doesn’t control as well. I think it will take awhile to either get used to the D-Pad on the touch screen or become frustrated with it (happened a lot when I played Secret of Mana) but for an iOS device, this seems like the only option. Music sounds excellent but the graphics are not really optimized for the retina display. Hopefully they will fix that on a future update. I’m just excited that I get to relive some of my childhood this weekend!
