How to transport takeout ramen or soup without spilling a drop

Posted on June 26, 2011 by Louie Tran Posted in Daily News, Food, How To 1 Comment

For those that haven’t figured it out yet, I’m Asian and ramen is a comfort food that I just can’t live without. I live about 8 miles away from a decent noodle house that isn’t ridiculously over priced, or a place that doesn’t serve low quality instant ramen that I can buy for 10 cents a pack. I usually like to go to the highly asian populated communities (Alhambra, San Gabriel, etc where I live in the LA Metro Area). The challenge is transporting the take out ramen from there to Pasadena when I’m driving myself without spilling a drop or getting my crotch burned so I had to use my noodle (pun intended) to find a way!

The solution is extremely simple. The restaurant will usually separate the soup from the noodles so they’re going to stack the container with the soup along with the noodles, veggies, meat, etc in a separate box and bag it. What I used was the hanger hook in the back seat of the car to hold the bag so it keeps in a vertical position and I didn’t have to worry about it falling over! I even swerved and drove like a maniac back home in my Audi A4 just to test how well this works and I didn’t spill a single drop of soup!

When I got home, I had an awesome chicken ramen dinner that didn’t taste like over priced Cup Noodles!

Soup is quite a healthy thing that we should take and I love eating these noodles and its soup. This soup is really famous in Asian countries and I really love eating these noodles with this delicious soup.
