I was actually in the market for a new case for my iPhone 4 because the Griffin Reveal case had the “flash ring” problem when taking pictures at night. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an awesome case and it would have been the PERFECT case but this review isn’t about that. The mophie juice pack plus (yes it’s written in lowercase on the box) is the latest impulse buy when walking into a best buy late at night and it has been impressive for these past few days of usage. I’ve been in search for a decent pair of stereo bluetooth headsets since A2DP technology was made available to consumers and have been disappointed each time. They usually produced muddled sound, had weak bass, almost AM quality, were uncomfortable, poorly designed… etc. Basically they were just crap. I’ve gone through Motorola ROKRs, Jabras, and so forth and have been disappointed each time. The Jaybird JF3 Bluetooth Headphones was actually an impulse purchase when walking into a Best Buy one hot summer evening and ironically, this has been the most impressive thus far.
The only reason why I bought this was because my cable modem died on Friday and I couldn’t wait till Tuesday to get a replacement. Since my business and fun depend heavily on the internet, I decided to give the Sprint OverDrive Pro a shot. Yes I do have a Verizon USB 3G card from work but the connection speeds are terrible averaging at 500k/200k.
I love my gadgets and usually have something new all the time but there is a select few of them that I just can’t live without. There was one point where I had up to 3 notebooks, two smartphones, and a media player! I usually change out my gear every 6-8 months to have the latest and greatest (yeah I know, it’s a bad habit and addiction) but now I believe I have the perfect symphony of gadgets to go about my day. Picked up this rotating iPad stand at Office Depot for less than $4. It’s on clearance and it was so cheap I decided to try it out. I’m pleasantly surprised that it works pretty well with the iPad 2. Not only does it rotate to portrait and landscape, the viewing angle is adjustable as well. I also like the fact that it has a wrist rest to type with the touch screen. I might add a bluetooth keyboard and use a stylus to navigate through the OS. This is definitely much more with it than the other stands that go up to $70 plus!!! I’m thinking of buying the rest that are on stock!
